Well I put it off long enough because of my own issues of guilt for giving me child my bad eyes. Why could she have not gotten perfect eyes like her Dad? So we started noticing around the time Kindergarten started that her eyesight was not so great and as the year went on we noticed she was getting closer and closer to the TV. But I was having issues with my daughter having to get glasses at the age of 6. Well Alli being the trooper that she is finally said "Mom I think I need glasses" so I made the appointment and off we went. There were a few tears the morning of where she was worried that people would think she was ugly. Then there were my tears because of my daughter's worry and pain. But some how we muddled through and had a great experience. The glasses will be in next week so we will see how that goes but right now she is excited. Am I a bad mom because I put it off for so long and that I did not want her to have to wear glasses like I have to? I hope not. I hope she will forgive me one day for making her wait. (it is not like she couldn't see at all she could still see she just had to be up close.) Here are the pictures of her trip to the Eye Doctor!!

Little Miss Alli you are Beautiful NO MATTER WHAT!!! And now with your glasses you are going to look even more beautiful. Now all the boys will look at you and not only see your beautiful face but, they will think wow she is so smart and cute and in those cute new glasses. Keep smiling we love you!!!! Now maybe you can get Mason to wear his glasses also since his most beautiful little girlfriend will have them as well.
I think its great that you took pictures of her behind the crazy eye testing machine! Definately Blog Worthy! She'll look great with glasses. My 8 year old just got some last fall! Oh the woes of childhood!
